6.3 Settings Panel
When the 'Settings' button on the GUI panel is clicked, the 'Settings' window is
displayed. This panel allows data such as front panel display units and input sources
to be entered. Note that all of these parameters have programmable equivalents
(refer to the Kinesis Server helpfile for further details.
6.3.1 Configuration Tab
In some applications (e.g. if the actuators are fitted to a 2-axis mirror mount), it may be
advantageous to move two axes at the same time by moving the joystick diagonally.
The Channel 1 to 4 options allow each channel to be enabled and disabled
individually. When enabled, the channel being addressed is selected via the top
panel CHANNEL button, or via the GUI panel.
The Pair Channels option is used to move two axes simulateously (CH1 and 2,
and CH3 and 4). In this case, the GUI panel will change to show an XY graphical
display for each channel pair selected - see Section 5.7. for more details.
Caution
If a channel pair is enabled, then the move and jog step acceleration values are set
the same for each channel in the pair, and are taken from the lower channel
number, either CH1 or CH3.
