Drives
The expansion bay for connecting drives is located on the front and back. Drives can be purchased mounted on
a dedicated tray. The device should be installed as mounted on the tray.
Note the following when attaching.
For on-board connections, hard disk drives of different types and/or rotational frequencies cannot be used
together.
When performing RAID constructions, use hard disk drives of the same capacity, type, and rotational
frequency within the same group (pack).
If you are using only one hard disk drive, please install it in the bay with the smallest lowest device number.
When drives that are grouped together into the same drive array, for the most efficient use of storage space,
set each drive at the same capacity.
Unique device numbers have been assigned to each slot.

Important
Use hard disk drives specified by NEC. Installing a third-party hard disk
drive might cause a failure of the server as well as the hard disk drive.
