7.15.1 Setting up Modbus communication
Note
The Modbus functionality will only be available, if the BACnet functionality
is deactivated.
To enable the communication over Modbus / TCP in the local network, some ad-
justments have to be made in the Modbus menu.
In order to setup the Modbus communication, proceed as follows:
1. In the Configuration main menu, select the Modbus submenu.
2. Activate the Modbus functionality.
The current configuration is shown under Installed configuration.
Î In order to upload a configuration, click on Select and select the desired con-
figuration.
If a matching configuration has been uploaded but not yet installed, it will be indi-
cated under Matching built-in configuration.
Î In order to install a matching built-in configuration, click Apply.
Information about built-in and installed configurations can be downloaded as a
PDF file.
Î In order to download a PDF file containing data points made available, click
Download PDF.
7.15.2 Setting up BACnet communication
Note
The BACnet functionality will only be available, if the Modbus functionality
is deactivated.
To enable the communication over BACnet / IP in the local network, some adjust-
ments have to be made in the BACnet menu.
In order to setup the BACnet communication, proceed as follows:
1. In the Configuration main menu, select the BACnet submenu.
2. Activate the BACnet functionality.
3. Enter the corresponding number in the BACnet Device Instance ID field.
The BACnet Device Instance ID is assigned by the user or the planner of the
building management system.
Î If necessary, change the port in the BACnet Port field (factory setting 47808).
The BACnet Port is assigned by the user or the planner of the building manage-
ment system.
The current configuration is shown under Installed configuration.

7.16 Changing the device name

Note
Choose a descriptive device name to facilitate identifying the device in
the network.
In order to change the device name, proceed as follows:
1. In the Configuration main menu, select the General submenu.
2. In the General Configuration menu, enter the device name in the Device
name field.
Permitted characters are: letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens.
Special characters are not allowed.
3. Click Save configuration.
7.17 Configuring the user mode
The user mode of the Web interface can be changed from standard user to expert
and vice versa. In the expert mode, additional information and settings are available,
such as: LAN configuration, LAN information, firmware updates, etc.
In order to adjust the user mode, proceed as follows:
1. In the Configuration main menu, select the General submenu.
2. Activate the expert mode in the Expert mode menu item.
3. Click Save configuration.
