Application examples

5.1

Direct service access via WLAN access point

The access point allows the installer to directly connect with the device without
having to access the network of the customer. All access data required can be
found on the underside of the housing.

In order to connect a mobile to the device via the WLAN access point, proceed
as follows:
1. If the WLAN LED is not illuminated, briefly press the button.

The WLAN access point is activated.
2. Select the WLAN network of the device on your mobile and enter the
Network name (SSID).
The default SSID name is KM-IP-{12-digit serial number}.
3. Click Connect.
4. Enter the WLAN code of the device.
This code can be read from the label on the underside of the housing (WLAN-AP).
5. Establish the connection.

After the WLAN connection to the device has been established, the Web interface
can be reached with an Internet browser under the IP address http://192.168.240.1.
If you access the website in its encrypted version (https), a security enquiry may
appear. You can either ignore this warning or access the unencrypted version (http).

Connection to the router

The device can be connected to a router via LAN or WLAN, in order to have
access to the home network and additionally to the Internet.
