Procedure

Use the following proc edure to perform the test:
Steps 1 to 7 of this proc edure require pre-requisite knowledge of some

Agilent 432A and 478A parameters. Refer to Appendix A for further
information.
1. V CR is measured using a network analyzer that has a low measurement
uncertainty at 50MHz. Here's the test procedure:
(a) Connect the thermistor mount to the 432A.
(b) Calibrate the network analyzer using an 85032B N-Type cal kit (or
(c) Set the center frequency of the network analyzer to 50MHz, and the
(d) Connect the thermistor mount to the network analyzer.
(e) Ensure the 432A mount resistance is set to 200R.
(f ) Measure the VCR of the thermistor mount =
(g) Change the 432A mount resistance is set to 100R.
