CHAPTER 7– SERVICE AND REPAIR

Keypad Replacement

Removal:
Note: Removal of the keypad will destroy the kepad. Only remove keypads that will be replaced.
1. Using a 1/16 HEX driver, remove the 4 scews from the keypad bracket.
2. Using a thin flat blade screwdriver gently pry the keypad bracket and keypad out from the
cover.
3. Disconnect the keypad cable by pressing the tab to release.
Installation:
1. Make sure the mounting surface is clean.
2. Carefully remove the protective paper covering the adhesive backing.
3. Reconnect the keypad cable.
4. Carefully tuck the cable into the cavity while positioning the keypad.
5. Press firmly on the keypad to secure.
NOTE: the adhesive backing is a sealing barrier as well as the gasket. Once the keypad is
in place it cannot be removed.
6. Install the keypad bracket and retaining screws.
Note: Do not overtighten the mouting screws or the mounting plate can become deformed.
