Fuel Filter with Water Separator

FUEL FILTER with
WATER SEPARATOR
The fuel filter with water separator is
located below the intake manifold.
Water or sediment accumulated in the
fuel filter with water separator can
cause loss of power or hard starting.
Check and replace the fuel filter with
water separator periodically.
Clean it or consult with an authorized
TOHATSU outboard motor dealer for
cleaning.
Inspection interval:
Every 100 operating hours or 6
months.
Replacement interval:
Every 400 operating hours or 2 years
MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Gasoline is extremely flammable,
and gasoline vapor can explode,
causing serious injury or death.
Do not smoke or allow flames or
sparks in your working area.
• Always work in a well-
ventilated area.
• Be sure that any fuel drained
from the outboard motor is
stored in a safe container.
• Be careful not to spill fuel
when replacing the filter.
Spilled fuel or fuel vapor may
ignite. If any fuel is spilled,
make sure the area is dry
before starting the engine.
• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN.
