Important Information
seat a new LTO-4 drive running firmware version 82FC or later and update the drive
sled (DCM) portion of the pre-BlueScale10.0.10 firmware to version 3.13.3
(Build 2). Because the drive sled firmware version 3.13.3 (Build 2) is present, the
drive is able to communicate, but the pre-10.0.10 firmware in the T50 library
detects a mismatch between the firmware versions and displays a firmware
mismatch message.
To ensure compatibility, upgrade your T50 library to BlueScale10.0.10. If you are
unable upgrade to BlueScale10.0.10 at this time, you can ignore the firmware version
mismatch message until you can schedule time to upgrade the library to
BlueScale10.0.10 or later.

DO NOT try to downlevel the drive firmware or the drive sled
firmware in an attempt to make the drive and library
firmware levels match. This action breaks the drive's ability to
communicate with the library, and renders the drive
inoperable. You will have to obtain a replacement drive from
Spectra Logic.
Do not use any type of LTO media that has not been
approved by Spectra Logic for use in the library.
Before using media from vendors other than those listed
above, contact SpectraGuard Technical support to understand
the risk associated with use of unsupported media.
