Spectra T50 Library Firmware

BlueScale10.0.1-20070905F

Enhancements
Supports LTO-4 SCSI drives. With this release of the current drive firmware, the
SCSI negotiation speed of the drive is forced to u160.
Displays the power usage and storage density information for the library in a more
accessible form, using the BlueScale interface.
Issue Resolved
Cleartext is now enabled properly at the beginning of tape, so that BlueScale
Encryption correctly verifies that all the data is encrypted and none is in cleartext.
Known Issues
Attaching more than one LTO-4 direct-attach drive per SCSI bus is not
recommended.
If you intend to use daisy-chained LTO SCSI drives, the cable between the drives
should be at least 10 feet.
The drive firmware currently does not support u320 negotiation speeds. As soon as
such firmware is available, it will be provided, allowing the faster negotiation
speeds.

BlueScale10.0-20070811F

Enhancements
Supports LTO-4 drive-based encryption, making it accessible through the BlueScale
Encryption and Key Management features.
Provides power monitoring and displays current storage density.
Supports iSCSI connectivity.
Known Issues
In the Tapes to Recycle screen, the Delete All option does not work correctly.
Work-around: delete the tapes one at a time using the Delete Selected option,
which works correctly.
After using the drive firmware package to upgrade an LTO-4 drive, a spurious error
message may display indicating that the firmware update failed. The firmware loads
correctly: ignore this message.
If the key for a tape is not on the library partition and the library tries to load the
tape, the move fails repeatedly. Multiple error messages display instead of just one.
