Enabling Capacity in T50 Libraries

The T50 library ships with two TeraPack
automatically enabled when the library is installed. The TeraPack magazines that
provide any additional slots you purchased are shipped separately. Spectra Logic ships
one TeraPack container for each five slots purchased.
Complete these steps to generate an activation key that enables additional slots, or call
Spectra Logic support for assistance if you need help with this.
1. Make sure that you have received all the TeraPacks that you purchased. For
example, if you purchase 20 slots, you will receive four TeraPack containers. (If this
is a new library, you then have a total of 30 slots.)
2. Unpack all TeraPack cases and password documents that ship with them. Set the
packaging aside.
3. Note the T50 library serial number, which is printed on a label on the back of your
library.
4. Enter
www.spectralogic.com/CoDPasswords
displays asking for information about your library.
5. Complete the fields that display. Continue through the pages, completing fields as
prompted. On completion, a key certificate page displays listing a single activation
key that you use to enable all of the additional TeraPack case slots.
6. Print the key certificate page that includes the generated key.
7. Enter this activation key using the library BlueScale interface (through the front
panel or a Web browser):
To enter the key when you first set up your library, use the Capacity on Demand
screen that displays during configuration.
To enter the key after initial set-up, select Menu > Configuration > Option Keys,
select New, enter the key, then select Save.
8. Store the key certificate and the password document that arrived with the case for
future reference.
After the key is entered, you can import your TeraPack cases into your library.
