Set-point Vernier

Use the set-point vernier to adjust the temperature below or above the set-point by a small
amount with high resolution. Each of the eight stored set-points has an associated vernier
setting. The set-point vernier can be set in increments of 0.00018 °C.
To access the vernier from the set-point:
1. Push SET. The six-digit vernier setting shows with five digits after the decimal point. This is a
temperature offset in degrees of the selected temperature units, for example:
0. 0 0000
2. Push UP or DOWN to adjust as necessary.
Unlike most functions, the vernier setting takes immediate effect as you adjust the vernier.
There is no need to push SET. This allows the displayed Bath temperature to be continually
adjusted.
3. Push EXIT to return to the temperature display or push SET to access the temperature scale
units selection.

Scan

The scan rate can be set and enabled so that when you change the set-point the Bath heats or
cools at a specified rate (degrees per minute) until it reaches the new set-point. With the scan
disabled, the Bath heats or cools at the maximum possible rate.

Scan Control

Control the scan with the scan on/off function that shows in the main menu after the set-point
function. For example:
ScAn = OFF
1. Push UP or DOWN to toggle the scan on or off.
2. Push SET to accept the setting and continue.
3. Push EXIT until the bath temperature shows.
Always leave the controller in the main temperature display menu while in the scan mode. To
view other menus causes the controller to halt scanning while in the menu. Normal scanning
resumes once you exit the menu to the temperature display.

Scan Rate

The scan rate can be set from 0.001 °C to 5.0 °C/min. The maximum scan rate, however, is
limited by the natural heating or cooling rate of the Product. This is typically <1 °C/min, especially
when cooling. The scan rate function shows in the main menu after the scan control function. For
example:
Sr = 0. 0 10
1. Push UP or DOWN to change the scan rate.
2. Push SET to accept the new scan rate and continue.
