1 Introduction

Profometer PM8500 Corrosion is a high-quality instrument used to measure the likelihood of
corrosion using the half-cell potential method.
The product consists of:
the PM8500 high-performance sensor unit,

the electrodes (rod, one wheel and four wheel),

the Profometer iOS app,

and the Screening Eagle Workspace platform.


The PM8500 sensor can be used in the following configuration:
Wirelessly connected sensor via low power Bluetooth to the iPad, which runs the

Profometer app. Given mobile data connectivity (Wi-Fi or mobile network), the pm app
automatically and safely stores all measurements on the Screening Eagle Workspace.
