REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOUNTING

Remount the rear shock absorber in the reverse order of re-
moval. Pay special attention to the following points:
Turn the adjuster 1 to obtain the spring length A of
258.0 mm (10.16 in).
Tighten the lock ring 2 to the specified torque.
Rear shock absorber lock ring:

Do not set the spring less than 247.5 mm (9.74 in).
Tighten the rear shock absorber upper and lower mounting
nut to the specified torque.
Rear shock absorber upper and lower mounting nut:
Apply THREAD LOCK SUPER "1303" to the seat rail lower
mounting bolts 3.
99000-32030: THREAD LOCK SUPER "1303"
Tighten the seat rail lower mounting bolts 3 and upper mount-
ing nut 4 to the specified torque.
Seat rail lower mounting bolt:
Seat rail upper mounting nut:
90 N·m (9.0 kgf-m, 65.0 lb-ft)
