Date/Clock Management
Time
synchronization
The integrated date/clock management enables the exact timely assignment of events
e.g., those in the operational annunciations and fault annunciations or in the lists of
the minimum/maximum values. The time can be influenced by
• the internal clock RTC (Real Time Clock),
• external synchronisation sources (DCF77, IRIG B, SyncBox, IEC 60870-5-103,
IEC 60850),
• external minute pulses via binary input.
Note
Upon delivery of the device the internal clock RTC is always set by default as synchro-
nisation source, regardless of whether the device is equipped with a system port or
not. If the time synchronisation is to be accomplished by an external source, you must
select the latter.
You find the parameters for the clock management in DIGSI at Settings → Time Syn-
chronization (Figure 4-27, page 75).
