Print Media Is Not Cut Straight/ The Cutting Position Is Not Correct

Please check the following items.
Item to check
Is the ribbon cassette, label cassette,
or attachment loaded correctly?
Is the tube or plate twisted or
warped?
Is the tube or plate clean?
Is a load being applied to the tube
or plate feed?
Are the transport rollers dirty?
Is the print head dirty?
Is the cleaner of the attachment or
(optional) tube warmer dirty?
Is the cutter installed correctly?
Are the depth and motion of the
cutter appropriate?
Is it time to replace the cutter?
Is the operating environment
appropriate?

Remove the attachment or cassette, and load it again.
Correct the twists and warps, and re-load the tube.
If the end of the tube or plate is bent due to winding or other
reasons, straighten it out or cut off the bent portion before loading
it into the printer.
Wipe off any dirt or dust with a dry cloth. Also, do not use tubes or
plates that have oil or other stains that cannot be wiped off.
If a heavy load is applied to the tube or plate, the cut position may
shift or the printing may be blurred. If you are using a tube reel,
lighten the load before use.
Clean the transport rollers.
We recommend cleaning the rollers about once a month.

We recommend cleaning the print head about once a month.
Clean the cleaner.

We recommend cleaning the cleaner about once a month.
Install the cutter correctly.
Adjust the depth and motion of the cutter.
• For MK5000
Select the [Adjust] key, then [Full Cut Depth] (or [Full Cut
Motion]).
• For MK3000
Select the [Option] key, then [Print adjust] > [Full Cut Depth] (or
[Full Cut Motion]).
NOTE
• In the same way, you can adjust the half cut by selecting [Half Cut
Depth] or [Half Cut Motion]. For details, refer to the User's Guide.

Replace the cutter.
It is recommended to replace the cutter after 50,000 cuts. (When
using PVC tube with an inner diameter of Ø3.2mm)
• For information concerning the operating environment, refer to
"Specifications
(P�46)". If you use the (optional) tube warmer, you
can print in low-temperature environments with temperatures as low
as 5˚C.
• Make fine adjustments to the print position and cut length.
