Before You Begin
Preparing the Power Supply

Connecting the AC Adapter
CAUTION
• Be sure to use the supplied genuine AC
adapter and power cord.

Connect the power cord to the AC
adapter, and plug the AC adapter into
the printer�

Insert the power plug into a power
outlet�

Use with Batteries
If you are outdoors or in any other place where
you do not have access to a power supply, you
can use the product with batteries.
CAUTION
• Be sure to use fully charged "eneloop AA
Standard Model Batteries (Part number:
BK-3MCCE (for Asia), BK-3MCCA (for North
America)). " Do not use any other type of
battery. Failure to do so may result in fire,
malfunction, or injury.

Prepare 6 "eneloop AA Standard Model
Batteries" (sold separately)�

Make sure that the power is turned off�

Remove the battery cover�

Insert the batteries�
As shown in the figure,
terminal into the printer, and

insert the batteries, as marked with the

Put the battery cover back on�
Push the battery cover in until it clicks into
place, and close it completely so that there
is no gap between the battery cover and the
printer.
