Cleaning/Replacing the
Cleaners
The tube attachment, (optional) tube warmer,
and (optional) plate and flat tube attachment
are equipped with a cleaner (or plate cleaner) to
remove dirt from the surface of the print media.
Remove the cleaner (or plate cleaner) as shown
in the figure, and then remove the dirt from the
sponge. If the sponge is damaged, replace the
entire cleaner.
IMPORTANT
• Dispose the used cleaner and plate cleaner
according to local government regulation.
• There are two types of cleaner, the cleaner (blue)
and plate cleaner (gray). For more information, refer
"Consumable Supplies
to
(P�49)".

Replacing the Cutter
If the tube or label tape does not cut properly
even after adjusting the depth and motion of the
cutter, replace the cutter.

CAUTION
• The cutter is designed so that it cannot
be touched directly, but if it is handled
improperly, the blade may pop out and
cause injury. Never perform any operation
that is not described in this manual.
• Do not leave replaced parts unattended. If

• When replacing the cutter, be sure to turn
off the power.
IMPORTANT
• It is best to replace the cutter after about every
50,000 cuts. (When using PVC tube with an inner
diameter of Ø3.2mm)
• Dispose the removed cutter and blade receiver
according to local government regulation.
