    Names and Functions of Keys Please read this instead of P.6 and P.7 in the MK5000 User’s Guide. This key allows you to check the page number of the currently [Page] key displayed page and the total number of pages in the data. You can also check the remaining memory capacity of the printer.

[Ins] key Switches between Insert mode and Overwrite mode. [Del] key Deletes the character selected by the cursor. Press this key while printing to stop printing, and then stop [Canc] key after cutting the print media.

    How to Read the Display Please read this instead of P.8~P.10 in the MK5000 User’s Guide. Character input method Displays the character input method settings. (→ P.10) a: Alphanumeric characters (lowercase) A: Alphanumeric characters (uppercase) R: Romaji ひ: Kana カ: Katakana Indicates which of the two input modes is selected.

When the remaining capacity is low, prepare a (Ribbon remaining) ・ new ribbon cassette. ・ ・ (Out of ribbon) : The ribbon cassette is not loaded, or the (Not displayed) information cannot be read.

    Use with Batteries Please read this instead of P.13 and P.14 in the MK5000 User’s Guide. If you are outdoors or in any other place where you do not have access to a power supply, you can use the product with batteries.
