The switches and LEDs located on the control panel are described below. See Chapter 4 for
details on the control panel connections.

Control Panel Features
Description
The power button is used to apply or remove power to the server. Turning off
system power with this button removes the main power but maintains standby
power. To perform many maintenance tasks, you must also unplug system
before servicing.
Used to reboot the system.
Indicates power is being supplied to the system power supply. This LED should
normally be illuminated when the system is operating.
Indicates network activity on LAN port 2 when flashing.
Indicates a power supply module has failed. The second power supply module
will take the load and keep the system running but the failed module will need to
be replaced. Refer to Chapter 6 for details on replacing the power supply. This
LED should be off when the system is operating normally.
Indicates activity on a hard drive when flashing.
Indicates network activity on LAN port 1 when flashing.
