SetAutoParameter
Description:
SetAutoParameter
purpose of the auto functions is to adjust the camera image's medium brightness and color
rendering to the preset target value while keeping the refresh rate (frame rate) at the highest possible
value.
Automatic brightness control:
When adjusting the average brightness, the exposure setting is preferred, i.e., the maximum
possible exposure time is set before gain is adjusted. AutoGain controls the camera's MasterGain in
the 0 - 100% range. Auto Exposure uses the current exposure range that results from pixel
frequency and refresh rate. Limit values can be set separately for exposure and gain.
Automatic frame rate control:
If shutter control is activated, the frame rate can still be changed manually or automatically to keep
the standard exposure range dynamic. Automatic frame rate control has the purpose of setting the
frame rate to an optimal value. As a result, shutter control always has the required control range
available at the highest possible frame rate.
Automatic white balance
When adjusting the white balance, the RGB gain settings of the camera are changed within the 0 -
100% range until the red or blue channel has reached the average brightness of the green channel.
To achieve a specific color balance, the target values for the red and the blue channels can be set
relative to the green channel by means of an offset. If the parameter IS_SET_AUTO_WB_ONCE is
set, white balance control is automatically deactivated as soon as the target value is achieved.
Speed of auto functions:
The speeds of the auto functions can be set in a range from 0 - 100%. This affects the time-delay or
responsiveness of the controls. High speed (100%) results in a small delay for quick control
response and vice versa. The average brightness control and the color rendering control use separate
speeds.
