Positioning the appliance

Material damage
The appliance must not be installed upside down
or lying down.
»
Remove the transport packaging.
»
Position the appliance on the prepared foundations.
»
Install insulating plates between the foundation and
the outdoor unit to prevent the outdoor unit from
corroding.
»
Secure the four legs of the outdoor unit on the foun-
dations using 4 anchor bolts.

Note
The outdoor unit must be firmly bolted to the foun-
dation to ensure that it cannot tip over due to wind.

Drainage

»
Ensure that the foundation/mounting device is not po-
sitioned under the drainage hole on the underside of
the outdoor unit.
»
Make sure that the water can drain away correctly
and safely.
If it is not possible to provide sufficient drainage outside the
appliance due to lack of space, the drainage pipe must be
fitted to the outdoor unit.
»
Insert the drainage plug into the drainage hole on the
underside of the outdoor unit.
»
Seal the remaining drainage holes with the closures
provided.
»
Connect the drainage pipe to the drainage plug.

Material damage
Do not install the drainage pipe in areas prone to
heavy snowfall.
Note
An integral tray heater ensures that condensate
can drain freely from the appliance even in cold
outdoor temperatures. If necessary, provide a sep-
arate heater for the external drainage pipe!
9.2.4

Disassembling the appliance casing

By removing the corner panel on the outdoor unit, you can
gain access to the connection points for the refrigerant
lines and to the terminal boxes for the electrical control
and power supply cables.

Undo and remove the fixing screws.
»
Pull the corner panel down and out.
»
Push out the corresponding perforated plate depend-
ing on the required exit direction for cables and lines.
