Installation location

The outdoor unit must not be surrounded by walls/
objects on all four sides.
The outdoor unit must not be positioned immediately
adjacent to walls/objects on one, two or three sides.

Material damage
The outdoor unit must be positioned so that the
air flow is not blocked by accumulation of snow
in winter.
»
Take into account the expected depth of snow
at the installation site and position the outdoor
unit at a sufficient height above the ground.
»
If necessary, construct a canopy above the
outdoor unit to protect it from any large accu-
mulation of snow.
»
Make sure that snow falling at the sides does
not damage the outdoor unit. If necessary
install a deflection plate to divert the snow.
When doing so, observe the machine-specific

minimum clearances.

When installing the outdoor unit, the expected wind
direction must be taken into account.
1 Wind direction
The outdoor unit should be positioned with the air
outlet side facing a wall, ensuring that minimum clear-
ances are observed; this protects the air outlet side
from direct exposure to winds.
