2.7 Step 6: Verifying the Emulator Device Driver Installation

The emulator device driver enables the debugger to communicate with the
emulator. To ensure that the emulator driver is installed correctly, follow these
steps:
1) Turn off the power to the 'C2xx target board.
2) Connect the JTAG cable from your PC to the 'C2xx target board.
3) Turn on the power to the 'C2xx target board.

Be sure that power is applied to the target board and that the JTAG cable is
connected firmly.
The I/O switch settings on the XDS510-PC don't match the value specified
with the –p option.
If you are using nondefault I/O switch settings, you must specify the corre-
sponding –p option in either the D_OPTIONS environment variable or on
the command line when you invoke the debugger.
