After successful compilation, kernel image (zImage) and device tree (.dtb) image will be created
in the below path.
~/linux-iwg17m/arch/arm/boot/zImage
~/linux-iwg17m/arch/arm/boot/dts/iwg17m_q7.dtb

2.7 Pre-loader binary generation

Pre-loader update on the source code is recommended on every changes of FPGA binary/FPGA project
only. The pre-loader binary has to be changed in case of pre-loader source code update. The pre-loader
raw file will be generated while u-boot compilation. This section describes about the step by step
procedure to generate the pre-loader bootable binary.

Copy the Pre-loader generating tool into local directory.
host@host~$
RainboW-G17M-Q7-Rx.x-RELx.x-LinuxDeliverables/Tool/Pre-loaderGenerator/ pre-
loader_generator.bsx <current_directory>

Change the permission of the script so that it can be executed.
host@host~$

Execute the following command to generate the pre-loader bootable binary.


host@host~$./pre-loader_generator.bsx <path to pre-loader raw file>/u-boot-spl.bin
iwg17m_preloader.bin


2.8 FPGA binary

FPGA binary can be generated from the Qsys project and refer the section FPGA Programming in iW-
PREDZ-UM-01-Rx.x-RELx.x-FPGAUserGuide for the same.

The pre-built FPGA binary is available in below path of the deliverables.
