9.1.3. Client configuration
The current configuration files for the hardserver of a client are stored in its local file
system.

The following steps assume that you have added the path
%NFAST_HOME%\bin
system variable.

9.2. Basic nShield nShield 5c and RFS configuration

After installing the Security World Software and the nShield nShield 5c, you need to do
the following:
• Configure the nShield nShield 5c Ethernet interfaces.
• Configure the RFS.
You should complete the RFS tasks before:
• Configuring the nShield nShield 5c and client to work together.
• Creating a Security World and an Operator Card Set (OCS). See the nShield nShield
5c User Guide for more about creating a Security World and the OCS.
9.2.1. Configuring the Ethernet interfaces - IPv4 and IPv6
An nShield nShield 5c communicates with one or more clients over an Ethernet network.
You must supply IP addresses for the nShield nShield 5c and the client. Contact your
system administrator for this information if necessary.
There are two network interfaces on the nShield nShield 5c. Three configurations are
supported:
• Single network interface.
