CLEANING THE AIR FILTER ELEMENT

CLEANING THE SPARK ARRESTER AND
EXHAUST CHAMBER
NOTE:
9 Use a wire brush to remove any carbon deposits
9 Tap the tail pipe lightly and remove the carbon

1. Remove:
9 Tail pipe 1
9 Muffler
9 Exhaust chamber assembly
9 Gasket
2. Check:
9 Tail pipe
from the spark arrester portion of the tail pipe.
deposits from the outside portion of the tail pipe.
9 Exhaust chamber
If the carbon deposit use the round
scraper to remove the carbon deposit.
3. Install:
9 Gasket
9 Exhaust manifold bolt
9Nm (0.9m•kg, 6.5 ft•lb)
9 Exhaust chamber assembly
18Nm (1.8 m•kg, 13 ft•lb)
9 Muffler
18Nm (1.8 m•kg, 13 ft•lb)
9 Spark arrester
1. Remove:
9 Seat assembly
9 Air filter case cover 1
2. Remove:
9 Air filter element 1
