All power/key on modes require that the keypad pattern be selected by the
time the logo stops scrolling, and that the pattern be maintained for the
approximate three seconds in which the logo is stationary in the center of
the display until the logo disappears. It should also be noted that on a first
time power up sequence for a CPU board (defined as the Battery Check
Interval variable upon restoration from the non-volatile memory being
something other that 4, 12, or 20), all keypad patterns are ignored and an
automatic start-up sequence ensues. In addition, normal start-up will
occur with no keypad pattern.
