Materials

Review list of materials to be provided by the installer
Installation of the Ellipse TMA Sector Controller equipment requires additional
equipment and materials supplied by the installer. The following list is a guideline only,
and additional materials may be required based on local conditions at each installation
site.

The mast must be rated for weight and wind loading of the sector antenna
with Ellipse TMA sector controller and cabling. Redline equipment is
compatible with mast sizes 45-115 mm (1.75-4.5 in).
Note: the sector controller may be mounted on one of the sector antenna
masts.
The number of masts depends on the site requirements. Mast positions
must be based on site survey results for RF signals. The mast must be
rated for weight and wind loading of the sector antenna with TMA amplifier
and cabling. Redline equipment is compatible with mast sizes 45-115 mm
(1.75-4.5 in).
The mast position must be rated for weight and wind loading of the GPS
antenna and cabling. Based on the GPS site survey, deployment
conditions may require a separate mast for the GPS antenna bracket.
A 6 m (20 ft) antenna cable is provided.
The installer must provide a fabricated mounting plate for mounting the
PoE Power Injectors.
Suitable mounting must be provided for mounting the the surge protection
devices where the Ethernet cables ingress to the network equipment.
Reliable 120/240 VAC 50/60 cycle. The installer must provide a power
cord from the AC source to the Data & Power Adapter. A mating
weatherproof plug is provided for connection to the adapter.
Materials for securing cables to mast, protecting cables from abrasion, etc.
including suggested weatherproofing materials:
Scotch 2200 series of vinyl mastic rolls
Scotch 130C linerless rubber splicing tape
3M Scotch super 88 electrical tape
Rubber mastic putty or duct sealing putty
Termination for grounding and shield of all equipment conductive cables.
Master grounding system for all indoor and outdoor equipment, with #2
AWG through #6 AWG as required and eye-terminals for connection to
Ellipse TMA Sector Controller equipment.
i) Precision set of screwdrivers, cutter pliers, and other common
installation tools.
ii) Portable computer for initial Ellipse TMA Sector Controller configuration.
