OPERATION
STOPPING THE ENGINE
NOTICE
If the engine is abruptly stopped before it has cooled
down, engine life may be greatly shortened. Consequently,
do not abruptly stop the engine apart from an emergency.
In particular, if the engine has overheated, do not abruptly
stop it but run it at mediumspeed to allow it to cool gradu-
ally, then stop it.
1.
Run the engine at low idling speed for about 5 minutes to
allow it to gradually cool down.
2.
Turn the key in starting switch (1) to the OFF position and
stop the engine.
3.
Remove the key from starting switch (1).
CHECK AFTER SHUT OFF ENGINE
1.
Walk around the machine and check the work equipment, machine exterior, and undercarriage, and check
also for leakage of oil or water. If any abnormalities are found, repair them.
2.
Fill the fuel tank.
3.
Check the engine compartment for paper and debris. Clean out any paper and debris to avoid a fire hazard.
4.
Remove any mud affixed to the undercarriage.
