Autopilot

For information about Autopilot in glass cockpit
displays, refer to the Glass Cockpit Manual. Go to Info
> Owner's Manual to see the manual in the display or
download the latest manual on www.garmin.com.
The autopilot constantly adjusts boat steering to hold
the boat on a straight course. Several different steering
patterns can be entered and the autopilot also permits
manual steering.
Read the instructions carefully and learn to maneuver
the boat with the aid of the autopilot in calm, open
waters.
NOTICE! The helmsman is responsible for piloting the
boat in a safe, reliable manner. Avoid navigational
hazards and never leave the helm unattended. Always
be prepared to quickly take over the helm.
The autopilot is automatically stand-by mode when the
boat's electrical systems are switched on. The display
will show the main menu or the last menu used.
When the autopilot is active the helm steering unit is
locked but may always be used for e.g. changing
course or giving way to obstacles. The autopilot will
then default to stand-by mode and must be activated
again.
If the Shadow Drive function is activated in the
Settings menu the autopilot is re-activated
automatically after a course change has been made
manually (with steering wheel). The autopilot is
activated on the new course once the boat has held
this course steady for a few seconds. When Shadow
Drive is activated a symbol is shown in the top right
corner of the display.
Menus and settings are controlled by the control panel
buttons.
