POWER SUPPLY

Ac adaptor
The supplied AC adaptor is suitable for use on AC main supplies of AC 100-240V 50/60Hz and should only be connected to a mains supply within these parameters.
Batteries: 2x1.5V, battery type AAA/R03/UM4 (not provided) for backup.

• The AC adaptor included with this unit is for its use only. Do not use it with other equipment.
• Turn off the unit before unplugging the AC adaptor from the unit so as to avoid the unit being damaged.
• When the unit is not going to be used for long time, disconnect the AC adaptor from the AC outlet.
• Be sure to use it near the wall outlet and easily accessible. If a malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet at once.
• AC adaptor is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be obstructed during intended use. To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the AC adaptor of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
• Never use an AC adaptor that is damaged, route power lead in a safe manner and make sure it is not subjected to trapping or pinching. If the power lead is damaged refer to a qualified service agent.
• For optimal performance, alkaline batteries are recommended. These batteries must be replaced every six months.
• Install the batteries in their compartment. Use only the size and type of batteries specified. Respect the polarity indicated in the compartment. Improper polarity can cause damage to the device. In order to avoid leakage, remove the batteries when unit will not be used for a long period of time. Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

BACKUP SYSTEM: All settings are memorized, however, the clock time could occasionally need to be readjusted. In case of power failure, if backup batteries are not installed, the screen will flash to indicate this power failure and the necessity to redo your settings.

TURNING UNIT ON/OFF

In Standby mode, press once to turn on the unit. Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn off the unit.

SELECTING FUNCTION

When the unit is ON, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select the desired function in cycle: FM, AUX, Bluetooth.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO

When the unit is on, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select FM mode. The display will show current frequency for a few seconds and change to clock time.

Manual Search

Automatic search
Press and hold or for few seconds. The automatic search locates strong stations. A station with a weak signal can be set manually by repeatedly pressing or .
Note: For a better reception in FM, extend the antenna.

Preset stations
The unit can store 20 FM stations.

Manual storage:

Automatic storage
In FM mode, press and hold P+ for few seconds and the unit will automatically save the first 20 FM stations. When you store on a channel already been preset, the previous station will automatically be cleared and replaced by the new station.

Listening to station presets
Press P+ and repeat the operation as many times as necessary to select your station.
Press or to adjust the sound level.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology that enables shortrange wireless communication between NFC-enabled devices, such as mobile phones.

SETTING THE TIME

SETTING THE ALARM AND THE ALARM MODE

Note:

• The corresponding alarm indicator blinks when the alarm function is activated.
• When is the wake-up source, turn off the radio before alarm time reaches. Otherwise the alarm source will change to buzzer automatically if you are listening to the radio when the alarm time reaches.
• When 1BT is the wake-up source, make sure your Bluetooth device (e.g. Smartphone) is the most recently paired Bluetooth device to MUSE M-173 CMT, and the Bluetooth function is enabled on your Bluetooth device. When the alarm time is reached, the unit will automatically reconnect with your Bluetooth device and the songs in your Bluetooth device will start to play automatically.

STOPPING THE ALARM

1. Alarm repetition
   Press SNOOZE. The alarm stops and will sound again 9 minutes later. The Alarm indicator blinks during the snooze time.
2. Alarm stop
   Press or . The alarm1 will sound again the next day at the same time.
3. Alarm Cancellation
   In Standby mode, press button repeatedly until alarm indicator lights off.

* Same procedure applies for alarm 2 with button.

SLEEP FUNCTION

In sleep mode, the unit will turn off automatically after a specified time. You can select duration in minutes before the unit turns off automatically.

DIMMER

Press to select the brightness of the screen: high, low, or off.

USB CHARGING

This unit is equipped with a built-in USB charging port (Output: DC 5V 1A) for recharging your mobile device (e.g. Smartphone, tablet, etc.) Simply plug the USB charging cable (not included) into the USB charging port and connect it to your mobile device.
