DC: 2x1.5V, battery type AAA/R03/UM4 (not provided) for back-up.
For optimal performance, alkaline batteries are recommended.
These batteries must be replaced every six months.
- Insert the plug of power cord into a standard wall outlet.
- Install the backup batteries in their compartment. Use only the size and type of batteries specified. Respect the polarity indicated in the compartment. Improper polarity can cause damage to the device.
- Do not attempt to recharge the batteries, they can catch fire or explode.
- In order to avoid leakage, always remove the batteries when unit will not be used for a long period of time. Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.
Backup System: All settings are memorized, however, the clock time could occasionally need to be readjusted. In case of power failure, if backup batteries are not installed, the screen will flash to indicate this power failure and the necessity to redo your settings.
LIGHTING
Main light (White light)
- Press
once to turn on the light.
- Press
repeatedly to adjust the brightness level of the white light (from 01 to 20).
Color light
- Press
twice to turn on the color light, then it will start to cycle different colors. Each color will be displayed for 5 seconds.
- Press
to pause the current color, press again to resume the cycle.
- Press
button thrice to turn off the light.
SETTING THE TIME
- In standby mode, press and hold
button, the display will flash. Set the time with HR. hour and/ or MIN. minutes.
- Press
again to confirm.
NOTE: If during the adjustment time no key is activated in 5 seconds, the current display will be automatically stored.
TURNING ON / OFF THE UNIT
In standby mode, press
once to turn on the unit. Press and hold
for 2 seconds to turn off the unit.
SELECTING FUNCTION
When the unit is ON, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select the desired function in cycle: FM, Bluetooth (
), AUX (
).
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
When the unit is on, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select FM mode. The display will show current frequency for a few seconds and change to clock time.
Manual search
- In FM mode, Choose your radio station with
or
.
- Adjust the volume by
or
to the desired level.
- For best reception, extend the FM wire antenna.
- To stop listening to the radio, press and hold
to turn the unit off.
Automatic search
Press and hold for few seconds
or
, the automatic search locates strong stations. A station with a weak signal can be set manually by repeatedly pressing
or
.
NOTE: During the search operation, the sound level is automatically muted.
Preset stations
This unit can store 20 FM stations.
Manual storage
- Select a radio station manually or in automatic search.
- Long press
, "P 01" blinks on the screen.
- Press
or
to select a channel.
- Press
to save it.
- Repeat steps 1-4 to store other stations.
Automatic storage
In FM mode, press and hold
for few seconds and the unit will automatically save the first 20 FM stations. When you store on a channel already been preset, the previous station will automatically be cleared and replaced by the new station.
Listening to station presets
Press
and repeat the operation as many times as necessary to select your station.

to adjust the sound level.
CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE
- Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN jack on unit (cable included).
- Press SOURCE button on unit repeatedly to select AUX mode. Aux indicator lights up, The display will show "
" for a few seconds and change to clock time.
- Start playback from your auxiliary source.
- Adjust the volume to desired level.
- To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX IN jack.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device
- When the unit is ON, Press SOURCE button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "
" for a few seconds and change to clock time. The Bluetooth indicator will start to blink on display which it is in pairing mode.
- On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "ML-35BT" from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) If the Bluetooth device prompts for a pass code, use "0000". Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. You will hear an indication sound when pairing is successful. The Bluetooth indicator stops blinking and stays lit.
Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.
- On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose "Use as Audio Device (stereo)" or similar.
- Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range. An active connection will be reestablished when your Bluetooth device returns within range.
- When the unit is turned on again, it will automatically try to reconnect with the most recently paired Bluetooth device.
Using a Bluetooth Device
- With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the ML-35BT's speakers.
- Press the
button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
- Select desired track with
/
.
- Adjust the volume using the
/
Volume buttons. You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.
SETTING THE ALARM AND THE ALARM MODE
- In standby mode, press and hold
for a few seconds, the display blinks.
- Press HR. and / or MIN. to set the time of wake up.
- Press
then press
or
to select the source of wake up:
buzzer, radio or
Bluetooth.
- When the alarm 1 indicator is blinking, press
repeatedly to set the progressive light trigger time: 05 > 10 > 15 > 20 > OFF.
(For example, if "05" is selected, the progressive light will turn on 5 minutes before the alarm time is reached, If "OFF" is selected, the white light will not switch on at wake up time)
- Press
to confirm, alarm 1
indicator will light up.
Note:
- The corresponding alarm indicator blinks when the alarm function is activated.
- When the alarm time is reached, the alarm volume will increase gradually.
- When Bluetooth (
) is the wake-up source, make sure your Bluetooth device (e.g. Smartphone) is the most recently paired Bluetooth device to ML-35BT, and the Bluetooth function is enabled on your Bluetooth device. When the alarm time is reached, the unit will automatically reconnect with your Bluetooth device and the songs in your Bluetooth device will start to play automatically.
* Same procedure applies for alarm 2 with
button.
STOPPING THE ALARM
Alarm repetition
Press SNOOZE. The alarm stops and will sound again 9 minutes later, alarm 1 indicator blinks and snooze indicator lights up during snooze time.
Alarm stop
Press

. The alarm 1 will sound again the next day at the same time, alarm 1 indicator lights up.
Alarm Cancellation
In Standby mode, press
to cancel the alarm1 permanently. The alarm1 indicator
lights off.
Note: Same procedure applies for Alarm 2 with
button.
SLEEP FUNCTION
When unit is ON, press
to select 120-90-60-30-15-10 or 5 minutes of listening. The sleep
indicator lights up. The unit will automatically turn off after the specified time is reached. To cancel the sleep function, repeatedly press
button until "OFF" is displayed, or Long press
button to turn off the unit.
Note: If the white light or color light is ON during sleep function, the light will turn off when the sleep time is reached.
NAP FUNCTION
This function wakes you up after a short period of time. Only the buzzer may be selected.
- In standby mode, press
to select 120-90-60-30-15-10 or 5 minutes for your nap. The indicator lights up.
- To stop the alarm, press
or
.
- To cancel the function, press
repeatedly until OFF is displayed.
DIMMER
Press
to select the brightness of the screen: high, low, or off.
USB CHARGING
This unit is equipped with a built-in USB charging port (Output: 5V
1A) for recharging your mobile device (e.g. Smartphone, tablet, etc. )
Simply plug the USB charging cable (not included) into the USB charging port and connect it to your mobile device.
