POWER SUPPLY
AC ADAPTOR
The supplied AC adaptor is suitable for use on AC main supplies of AC 100-240V
50/60Hz and should only be connected to a mains supply within these parameters.

- The AC adaptor included with this unit is for its use only. Do not use it with other equipment.
- Turn off the unit before unplugging the AC adaptor from the unit so as to avoid the unit being damaged.
- When the unit is not going to be used for long time, disconnect the AC adaptor from the AC outlet.
- Be sure to use it near the wall outlet and easily accessible. If a malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet at once.
- AC adaptor is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be obstructed during intended use. To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the AC adaptor of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
- Never use an AC adaptor that is damaged, route power lead in a safe manner and make sure it is not subjected to trapping or pinching. If the power lead is damaged refer to a qualified service agent.
BACKUP SYSTEM:
DC: 2x1.5V, battery type AAA/R03/UM4 for back-up(not provided).
For optimal performance, alkaline batteries are recommended. These batteries must be replaced every six months.
Install the batteries in their compartment. Use only the size and type of batteries specified. Respect the polarity indicated in the compartment. Improper polarity can cause damage to the device. In order to avoid leakage, remove the batteries when unit will not be used for a long period of time. Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
All settings are memorized, however, the clock time could occasionally need to be readjusted.
TURNING UNIT ON/ OFF
In standby mode, press
button to turn on the unit. Press and hold
button to turn off the unit.
SELECTING FUNCTION
When the unit is on, repeatedly press SOURCE button to select desired mode: DAB, FM or AUX.
SETTING THE TIME AND DATE
The first time you listen to DAB/ DAB+ radio, the time and date of the unit will be synchronized automatically to the broadcast by the DAB service in 24 hour mode, which is in line with daylight saving.
If you want to set the time and date manually, follow the steps as below:
- In standby mode, press and hold MENU button to access time setting mode.
- "SYSTEM" will appear on display, then press SELECT to confirm. "TIME" will appear, then press SELECT to confirm. "SET TIME/DATE" will appear on display and press SELECT to confirm. The hour digits will flash. Rotate SELECT knob to set the hour and press SELECT to confirm. Then the minute digits will flash. Rotate SELECT knob to set the minute and press SELECT to confirm.
- Use SELECT knob to set the date (DD-MM-YY) (Rotate SELECT knob to adjust the setting; press SELECT knob to confirm.) "SAVED" will appear for two seconds when the time and date are set.
Other settings:
* AUTO UPDATE
- Rotate SELECT knob to select "AUTO UPDATE" option and press SELECT to confirm,
- Rotate SELECT knob to select an option and press SELECT to confirm.
- UPDATE FROM FM: time update from FM.
- UPDATE FROM DAB: time update form DAB/DAB+
- UPDATE FROM ANY: time update from FM or DAB/DAB+.
- NO UPDATE: show the time from system setting.
* SET 12/24 HOUR
Rotate SELECT knob to select <SET 12/24 HOUR> and press SELECT to confirm. Rotate SELECT knob to select "SET 24 HOUR" or "SET12 HOUR". then press SELECT to confirm.
* SET DATE FORMAT
Rotate SELECT knob to select <SET DATE FORMAT> and press SELECT to confirm. Rotate SELECT knob to select "DD-MM-YY" or "MM-DD-YY", then press SELECT to confirm.
Note: When do the setting in the menu, press the MENU button to return back to previous step.
LISTENING TO DAB/DAB+ RADIO
When the unit is on, repeatedly press SOURCE button to select DAB mode.
The first time you use the radio, or if the station list is empty, the radio automatically performs a full scan to see what stations are available. The display will change to "LOADING......". The progress of scanning will be showed and the number of stations found will be displayed.
When the scan is complete, the unit will select the first available station and start to play automatically. Stations will be listed in numerical and then multiplex order by default.
If DAB reception by DAB auto tune is poor, try manual tuning. Please refer to "DAB setting menu/ MANUAL".
You may also need to start a scan manually to update the list of stations for one of the following reasons:
- New stations may become available from time to time.
- Stations close or can no longer be received
- If reception was not good for the original scan, this may result in an empty or incomplete list of available stations.
- If you have poor reception of some stations causing the audio to break up, you may wish to list only stations with good signal strength.
To do a full scan, press and hold SCAN.
Or, press and hold MENU button to enter setting menu, rotate SELECT to select <FULL SCAN> and press SELECT to start a scan.
Once the scan is complete, the radio returns to play the previously selected station or first station on the station list. Rotate SELECT knob to select a desired station and press SELECT to confirm.
Note:
- If no broadcasts are found by DAB/DAB+ scan, "NO DAB" appears in the display.
- For a better reception, extend the wire antenna or do the full scan again in another place.
- During the search operation, the sound level is automatically muted.
LISTENING TO FM RADIO
Manual search
In FM radio mode, rotate SELECT button to tune manually.
Automatic search
Press SCAN once. The automatic search locates strong stations.
Note: For a better reception, extend the antenna.
PRESET STATIONS
This unit can store 10 FM and 10 DAB/DAB+ stations.
MANUAL STORAGE
- Repeatedly press SOURCE button to select FM or DAB mode.
- Select a radio station.
- Press and hold PRESET button to enter preset store mode.
- Rotate SELECT knob to select a channel. Press SELECT to save it. "STORED" will be displayed.
Note: If you choose a station that hasn't been allocated, "EMPTY" will be displayed. If the station has been allocated before, the FM frequency or DAB station name will be shown. - Repeat step 2-5 to store other stations.
AUTOMATIC STORAGE (FM ONLY)
Press and hold SCAN. The unit will automatically save the first 10 FM stations. When you store on a channel already been preset, the previous station will automatically be cleared and replaced by the new station.
LISTENING TO RADIO PRESETS
- Press SOURCE button to select FM or DAB mode.
- Press PRESET once to access preset recall mode. Rotate SELECT knob to select your desire preset station and press SELECT to confirm.
- Press

to adjust the volume level.
SETTING THE ALARM AND THE ALARM MODE
- In standby mode, press
button once, "ALARM OFF" will appear on display. Rotate SELECT to select "ALARM ON" and press SELECT to confirm. The hour digits will flash, rotate SELECT to set the hour, then press SELECT to confirm. Then the minutes digits will flash, rotate SELECT to set the minutes and press SELECT to confirm.
Note: In 12 hour clock format, be sure to observe the AM/PM indicator to set correctly. - Rotate SELECT knob to select the alarm duration (15-30-45-60-90 minutes), then press SELECT to confirm.
- Rotate SELECT to select the source of wake up: DAB, FM or BUZZER. Then press SELECT to confirm. When the wake-up source is FM or DAB, rotate SELECT knob to select the "DEFAULT" station (last listened station) or present station, then press SELECT to confirm.
- Rotate SELECT to select the desired alarm repetition options: "DAILY", "ONCE", "WEEKENDS" or "WEEKDAYS". Then press SELECT to confirm. (Note: If "ONCE" is selected, you need to set the alarm date)
DAILY: The alarm will sound every day.
ONCE: The alarm will sound one time only.
WEEKENDS: The alarm will sound on weekend only. (Saturday and Sunday)
WEEKDAYS: The alarm will sound on weekday only. (Monday to Friday) - Rotate SELECT to set the alarm volume and press SELECT to confirm. "SAVED" will be displayed for a few seconds. The corresponding alarm indicator will light up.

Note:
- Same procedure applies for alarm 2 with
button. - If the time is not set or has failed to update from the radio signal, "NO CLOCK" will be displayed when you try to set the alarm. Alarm can only be set after the time has been set.
Stopping the alarm
- Alarm repetition
Press SNOOZE. The alarm stops and will sound again 9 minutes later. The snooze indicator blinks during the snooze time. - Alarm stop

to stop the alarm.
Note:
- When "DAILY" is set, the alarm will sound again the next day at the same time. The alarm indicator remains on.
- When "ONCE" is set, the alarm will not sound again. The alarm indicator will light off.
- When "WEEKENDS" is set, the alarm will sound again the following Saturday or Sunday at the same time. The alarm indicator remains on.
- When "WEEKDAYS" is set, the alarm will sound again on next weekday (Monday to Friday) at the same time. The alarm indicator remains on.
- Alarm Cancellation
In Standby mode, press
, "ALARM ON" will be displayed, then rotate SELECT knob to select < ALARM OFF> and press SELECT to confirm to cancel the alarm 1 permanently. The

indicator turns off.
Note: Same procedure applies for Alarm 2 with
button.
SLEEP FUNCTION
When the unit is ON, press and hold
button to access sleep mode and repeatedly press
button to select 5-15-30-45-60-90 minutes of listening. The sleep indicator will light up. The unit will automatically turn off after the specified time. To cancel the sleep function, press and hold
button to access sleep mode and repeatedly press
button until "SLP OFF" is displayed. The sleep indicator lights off.
DIMMER
Press
repeatedly to select the brightness of the screen: high, low or off.
CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE
- Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the unit (cable not included).
- Press SOURCE button repeatedly to select AUX mode. "AUX" indicator lights up.
- Start playback from your auxiliary source.
- Adjust the volume to desired level.
- To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX IN jack.
Repeatedly press INFO button to review some unit settings (e.g. time, date) or available information (e.g. radio text, name) for the station you are listening.
- When the unit is ON, press and hold MENU to enter into setting menu.
- Rotate SELECT to select an option and/or adjust the settings, then press SELECT to confirm.
DAB mode: FULL SCAN/ MANUAL/ DRC/ PRUNE/ SYSTEM
FM mode: SCAN SET/ SYSTEM
AUX IN mode: SYSTEM
DAB Setting Menu
- FULL SCAN
This function allows you to perform a full scan. - MANUAL
This function can be used to assist the positioning of the antenna or the unit to obtain the optimum reception for a specific channel or frequency.
If DAB reception by DAB auto tune is poor, try manual tuning.
Select "MANUAL" in the setting menu and press SELECT to confirm.
Rotate SELECT to select your desired frequency and press SELECT to tune to the selected station. - DRC (Dynamic range compression)
DRC can make quieter sounds easier to hear when the unit is used in a noisy environment. Rotate SELECT to select your desire DRC level: OFF, LOW, HIGH.
Then press SELECT to confirm. - DRC OFF - no compression. This is the default setting.
- DRC LOW - medium compression.
- DRC HIGH - maximum compression.
Note: DRC is effective only in dynamic range compression broadcast.
- PRUNE
This function can remove all invalid stations. Rotate SELECT to select "YES", then press SELECT button to confirm removing all invalid stations. - SYSTEM
To select the system setting options: TIME, RESET, SW VERSION. - TIME
You can adjust the time and date setting. Please refer to "SETTING THE TIME AND DATE". - RESET
To restore to factory default settings. - SW VER (software version)
To review the current software version.
FM Setting Menu
- SCAN SET
ALL: The automatic search locates at any available station.
STRONG: The automatic search only locates at strong stations. - SYSTEM
Please refer to the "DAB setting menu/ SYSTEM."
AUX setting Menu

USB CHARGING
This unit is equipped with a built-in USB charging port (Output: 5V
1A ) for recharging your mobile device (e.g. Smartphone, tablet, etc. )
Simply plug the USB charging cable (not included) into the USB charging port and connect it to your mobile device.
WIRELESS CHARGING
Wireless charging output: 5W
Put the smartphone on the wireless charging area on the top of unit, then the smartphone will be charged.
- If the wireless charging indicator
stays lit, charging is successful. - If the wireless charging indicator
blinks or does not light up, charging is not successful. In this case, adjust the position of your smartphone until the wireless charging indicator stays lit.
Notes:
- Use only one charging device, either USB charging port or wireless charging. Do not use together.
- It may happen that the DAB/FM radio reception is affected while using wireless charging.
- The wireless charging function only works with mobile devices that support this technology.
- There are many wireless charging enabled devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models.
- In DAB mode, when charging the smartphone wirelessly, the sound is muted for 1 to 3 seconds.
