NOTE: The outboard is ready to be powered on.

Battery Removal
IMPORTANT: Removing the battery from the battery compartment removes
power from the outboard. Do not remove the battery from the outboard with the
outboard turned on, or when the boat is underway.
1. Slide the latch to open the hood.
