Dear customer, not only are the following safety notes intended to protect your
health, they are also intended to protect the device. Please read through the follow-
ing points attentively:
• If you are not sure when assembling, connecting and installing the device or if you have
doubts as to the mode of operation of the device, do not effect the assembly/connec-
tion/installation of the device yourself, but rather contact a specialist.
• For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to
the product are not permitted.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are con-
nected to this device.
• Be sure to follow the safety instructions of the tool manufacturer when using tools to
install your device.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, strong vibrations or a high level of
humidity.
• Avoid subjecting the device to strong mechanical stress.
• The components included in delivery are intended for dry indoor use only.
• Take care to provide sufficient ventilation, never place and/or secure the surveillance
camera on highly inflammable surfaces (e.g. wood wall panelling).
• Electrical devices must be kept out of the reach of children. Be particularly careful
when children are present. They may try to put objects into the device. This product
is not a toy!
• Mount the surveillance camera so that it cannot be reached by children.
• Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold to a warm
environment. The condensation produced may, under certain conditions, lead to mal-
functions or damage. In addition, there is the risk of an electric shock. Allow the device to
reach room temperature before you operate it. This may take several hours!
If you have reasons to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the
device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Reasons to assume that
safe operation is no longer possible are the following:
- the device shows signs of visible damage,
- the device no longer functions,
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions over a long period of time or
- following considerable stress during transportation.
