6.2.1 Names and Applications of Main Circuit Terminal Block Signals

The following table shows the details for each terminal block signal.

CAUTION
(1) Always use one AC reactor per power supply unit. Failure to observe this could lead to unit damage.
(2) If a circuit protector is shared by several power supply units, the circuit protector may not activate when a short-
circuit fault occurs in a small capacity unit. This is dangerous, so never share the circuit protector.
(3) Be sure to use the circuit protector of the appropriate capacity for each power supply unit.
Main circuit power supply input terminal
 MDS-EX-CV: Connect a 3-phase 200 to 240 VAC (50/60 Hz) power supply.
 MDS-EX-CVH: Connect a 3-phase 380 to 480 VAC (50/60 Hz) power supply.
Control circuit power supply input terminal
 MDS-EX-CV: Connect a single-phase 200 to 240 VAC (50/60 Hz) power supply.
 MDS-EX-CVH: Connect a single-phase 380 to 480 VAC (50/60 Hz) power supply.
Contactor control terminal
Grounding terminal
The power supply unit grounding terminal is connected and grounded.
