5.2 Preventing the Entry of Foreign Matter
Conduct the following on the cabinet to prevent the entry of foreign matter.
(1) Use packing, etc. in the cable inlet to prevent dust and oil from entering the cabinet.
(2) Make sure that the external air does not enter inside by using head radiating holes, etc.
(3) Close all gaps in the cabinet.
(4) Properly install door packing.
(5) If there is a rear cover, always apply packing.
(6) As oil tends to accumulate on the top, take special measures such as oil-proof packing to prevent oil entering the cabinet
from the screw holes.
(7) After installing each unit, avoid machining in the periphery. Cutting debris, etc. adhering to electrical components may
cause failures.
(8) When using the unit in an area with toxic gases or high levels of dust, protect the unit with air purging (a system to flush
the cabinet with clean air so that the panel's inner pressure is higher than the outer pressure).
