Maintaining the Printer

Checking the Consumables Status

You can check the approximate ink levels and the approximate service life of the maintenance box from the
printer's control panel. Select
1. Press the
button on the control panel.
2. Select Printer Status.
The indicator on the far right indicates the available space in the maintenance box.
Note:
❏ You can also check the approximate ink levels and the approximate service life of the maintenance box from the
computer. For Windows users, note that you need to install EPSON Status Monitor 3 to enable this feature.
❏ You can continue printing while the ink low message is displayed. Replace the ink supply units when required.

Improving Print, Copy, Scan, and Fax Quality

Adjusting the Print Quality

If you notice a misaligned vertical lines, blurred images, or horizontal banding, adjust the print quality.
1. Select Maintenance on the printer's control panel.
2. Select Print Quality Adjustment.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to print the alignment pattern and scan it.
Adjustments are performed automatically.
If the print quality does not improve, the message to print the maintenance check sheet is displayed on the
control panel. Go to the next step.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to print the maintenance check sheet.
