4.4 Expansion Address Description

After coupler module is power-on, it will scan local back-level expansion interface,
and it will assign one expansion address to each scanned expansion submodule.
→Expansion example:
Like, the local back-level interface of ECAT communication module (ZMIO300-
ECAT) connects to 3 input modules (ZMIO300-16DI), 2 output modules (ZMIO300-
16DO / ZMIO300-16DOP), 1 AD module (ZMIO300-4AD) and 1 DA module
(ZMIO300-4DA) in turn.
ECAT communication module starts to scan and assign address when it is power-
on. Assign the address according to the connection sequence, starting from 1. The
expand address of the first input module is 1, the expand address of AD module is 6.
➢ This expand address is used to build data dictionary, and the address assign is not
influenced by expansion submodule type.
➢ ZCAN communication module only assigns address for internal control.
