Error Messages

While making or receiving data calls, you might receive error messages on
your modem display or on the computer screen. Refer to the following list
before contacting your carrier.

Explanation
The number that you called is busy; the
modem is ready for another command.
Try again later.
The command was not recognized, the
command line maximum length was
exceeded, an invalid parameter value
was entered, or there is another problem
with the command line. The modem is
ready for another command.
Make sure that the command (and
parameters) that you issued are valid.
Your communication software assumes
that Auto Baud is supported by the
modem.
Make sure that:
• You are using one of the communication

packages listed in
Configuring
Communications Software
page 60.
• If Autobaud is turned on in the software,
it requires being turned on in the
programming menu of your modem.
Your connection was terminated, or an
attempt to establish the connection failed.
Try your call again or contact your iDEN
carrier.
Cannot gain access to the network; the
modem is ready for another command.
You might not have subscribed to the
Data service. If you have a valid
subscription and are not able to access
the system, contact your iDEN carrier.
