Chapter 8—Using Multis

Creating Multis

Multis can be created as follows.
Press the MULTI button, then select the MAIN page shown below.

Select the Multi parameter that indicates the Multi name in the upper left

corner, then press the WINDOW button.
The Multi window appears, as shown below.
To rename an existing Multi, select the "Multi name" parameter, rotate the JOG dial to
open the Name window. See "Entering Names" on page 17 for more information on
using the Name window. The "Multi change number" parameter determines the number
that will be used to select the Multi via MIDI Program Change. The "Multi select"
parameter determines how Multis are selected via MIDI. When set to "PROG
CHANGE," Multis can be selected by using MIDI Program Change messages. When set
to "BANK CHANGE," Multis can be selected by using MIDI Bank Change messages.
When set to "OFF," Multis cannot be selected via MIDI. The "Multi select channel"
parameter determines which MIDI Channel is to be used for selecting multis.
Press "NEW."

The Create New Multi window appears, as shown below.
Select the "New name" parameter, then rotate the JOG dial.

The Name window opens. See "Entering Names" on page 17 for more information.
Press "DO IT."

A new Multi is created.
