Chapter 7—Using Programs
Press "CREATE."

The Create New Keygroup window appears, as shown below.
Use the JOG dial to specify the number of new Keygroups that you want

to create.

Press "DO IT."
The specified number of Keygroups are created. Additional Keygroups can be created at
any time.
Select the "Kg" column, and use the JOG dial to select a Keygroup.

In the "SOUND (ZONE1)" column, use the JOG dial to select a Sample.
Only Samples already in memory can be selected. See page 18 for information on load-
ing Samples.
If you have created a new Program, start by assigning Samples to Keygroups.
You can clear a Sample assignment by selecting the Sample name in the
"SOUND (ZONE1)" column, and then rotating the JOG dial fully counterclockwise until
a blank space appears.
To quickly locate and select Keygroups, press and hold the SHIFT button while playing
a connected MIDI keyboard.

Select the Keygroup's "Lo" parameter, as shown in the example below, and
then use the JOG dial to set the Keygroup's low note. Do the same for the
"Hi" parameter.
The "Lo" and "Hi" parameters determine the Keyspan of each Keygroup.
While a "Lo" or "Hi" parameter is selected, press the WINDOW button.

The Key Span window appears, as shown below.
