Retrofitting a trailer hitch is only permissible if a
towing capacity is specified in your vehicle docu-
ments.
You can obtain further information on the trailer
hitch at a qualified specialist workshop.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you have a

Benz Center.
Only use a trailer hitch which has been tested and
specially approved by Mercedes-Benz for your
vehicle.
Use only a ball neck that has been approved for
your vehicle and for your Sprinter trailer hitch.
Notes on the permissible dimensions of the ball
neck can also be found on the identification plate
of the trailer hitch.
