Paint
Insect remains: Soak with insect remover and

then wash off.
Bird droppings: Soak with water and then wash
R
off.
Tree resin, oils, fuels and greases: remove by
R
rubbing gently with a cloth soaked in petroleum
ether or lighter fluid.
Coolant and brake fluid: Remove with a moist
R
cloth and clean water.
Tar stains: Use tar remover.

Wax: Use silicone remover.
R
Do not affix stickers, films or similar.

Remove dirt as soon as possible.
R
Matte finish
Use only care products approved for
R
Mercedes-Benz.
Do not polish the vehicle or alloy wheels.

Use only automatic car washes that meet cur-

rent technological standards.
Observe the following notes:
Notes on cleaning and care
Wheels/rims
Use water and acid-free wheel cleaner.
Windows
Clean windows inside and outside with a
damp cloth and with a cleaning agent rec-
ommended for Mercedes-Benz.
Wiper blades
Carefully clean the folded-away wiper
blades with a damp cloth.
Exterior light-
Clean the lenses with a wet sponge and
ing
mild cleaning agent, e.g. car shampoo.
Sensors
Clean the sensors in the front and rear
bumper and in the radiator grille with a
soft cloth and car shampoo.
Reversing
Use clean water and a soft cloth to clean
camera and
the camera lens.
360° Camera
Do not use a wash program that ends with a
R
hot wax treatment in automatic car washes.
Do not use paint cleaners, buffing or polishing
R
products, or gloss preservers, e.g. wax.
Always have paintwork repairs carried out at a
R
qualified specialist workshop.
Notes on the care of vehicle parts
& WARNING Risk of entrapment if the wind-
shield wipers are switched on while the
windshield is being cleaned
If the windshield wipers are set in motion while
you are cleaning the windshield or wiper
blades, you can be trapped by the wiper arm.
Always switch off the windshield wipers
#
and the vehicle before cleaning the wind-
shield or wiper blades.
Preventing damage to the vehicle
Do not use acidic alloy wheel cleaners
R
to remove brake dust. Otherwise,
wheel bolts and brake components
may be damaged.
To avoid corrosion of brake discs and
R
brakepads, drive for a few minutes
after cleaning and before parking the
vehicle. The brake discs and brake-
pads will warm up and dry out.
Do not use dry cloths or abrasive or sol-
vent-based cleaning agents to clean the
inside of windows.
Do not clean the wiper blades too often.
Use only cleaning agents or cloths suita-
ble for plastic lenses.
When using a power washer, keep a mini-
mum distance of 11.8 in (30 cm).
Do not use a power washer.
