▌Function of the rear view camera
If you have activated the function in the multimedia
system, the image from rear view camera
appears in the multimedia system when reverse
gear is selected. Dynamic guide lines show the
path the vehicle will take for the current steering
movement. This helps you to orient yourself and to
avoid obstacles when backing up.

The rear view camera is only an aid. It is not a sub-
stitute for you paying attention to the surround-
ings. You are always responsible for safe maneu-
vering and parking. Make sure that there are no
persons, animals or objects etc. in the maneuver-
ing area while maneuvering and parking in parking
spaces.
The rear view camera may show a distorted view of
obstacles, show them incorrectly or not at all. The
rear view camera cannot show all objects which
are very near to or under the rear bumper. It will
not warn you of a collision, people or objects.
