TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom / Solutions

Water comes into the powder chamber or leaks from the cap
• Check the dental unit connection
• Check the state of the o-rings of the turbine connection
• Connect the unit to the dental unit (be careful, the powder
chamber must be empty)
• Dry and fill the powder chamber
• Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center
No powder/air jet coming from the unit
• Cut immediately the air input by releasing the foot pedal
• Wait for 1-2 minutes for the system to decompress
• Disconnect the unit from the dental unit
• Press the foot control pedal of the dental unit
• if no air comes out of the turbine connector, it is your dental
unit that causes the problem
• If air comes out, it is the device that causes the problem
• Unscrew the cap above the wash-hand basin, because the
powder can be ejected. A sealed apparatus, even disconnected,
can indeed remain under pressure
• Empty the powder chamber and screw the cap back on
• Connect the unit to the dental unit (be careful, the powder
chamber must be empty)
• Connect the handpiece to the unit
• Press the foot control pedal of the dental unit
• If air comes through the handpiece connector, the handpiece
is blocked. Clean the handpiece
• If no air comes out of the handpiece connector, the unit is
blocked
• Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center
Air and/or powder is leaking from the threads of the cap
• Check the seal and the cleanliness of the thread on the powder
chamber and on the cap
• Replace the seal or the cap if necessary
• Send the device to a certified EMS Repair Center
Water leakage between the nose connection and handpiece
• Check the O-rings on the nose connection of the device,
replace them if necessary
• Change the handpiece
• Send the device to a certified EMS Repair Center
The unit efficiency diminishes
• Check the amount of powder in your device
• Check the air pressure of the dental unit
• Remove the residual powder in the channels of the handpiece
with the EasyClean
• Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center
If the handpiece falls
• Check the state of the nozzle
• Replace the handpiece
Air is leaking between the handpiece and the unit
• Clean the handpiece
• Replace the seal of the handpiece connector
• Send the complete unit to an approved EMS repair center
Air and/or water is leaking from the connector of the cord
• Check the connector of the cord, if it is necessary, carry out
maintenance following the information of the manufacturer
• Send the complete unit to an approved EMS repair center
MESURES À PRENDRE EN CAS D'INCIDENT

Dysfonctionnement / Solutions

De l'eau pénètre dans la chambre à poudre ou s'échappe du
bouchon
• Vérifiez la connexion à l'unit dentaire
• Vérifiez l'état des joints torriques du raccord de turbine
• Connectez l'appareil à votre unit dentaire (attention la chambre
à poudre doit être vide)
• Séchez et remplissez la chambre à poudre
• Envoyez l'appareil à un centre de réparation agréé EMS
Aucun jet de poudre/air ne sort de l'appareil / Busette
• Coupez immédiatement l'arrivée d'air comprimé en relâchant
la pédale de commande
• Attendez 1 à 2 minutes que le système décompresse
• Déconnectez l'appareil de l'unit dentaire
• Appuyez sur la pédale de commande de votre unit dentaire
• Si l'air ne sort pas du raccord de turbine, le problème se situe
au niveau de votre unit dentaire
• Si l'air sort du raccord de turbine, le problème se situe au
niveau de l'appareil
• Dévissez le bouchon au dessus du lavabo, car de la poudre
peut être éjectée. Un appareil obturé, même déconnecté, peut
rester sous pression
• Videz la chambre à poudre, et refermez le bouchon
• Connectez l'appareil à votre unit dentaire (attention la chambre
à poudre doit être vide)
• Reconnectez la pièce à main à l'appareil
• Appuyez sur la pédale de commande de votre unit dentaire
• Si un jet d'air sort du connecteur de pièce à main, votre pièce
à main est obturée. Nettoyez la pièce à main
• Si aucun jet d'air ne sort de votre connecteur de pièce à main,
le corps de l'appareil est obturé
• Envoyez l'appareil à un centre de réparation agréé EMS
De l'air et/ou de la poudre s'échappent du pas de vis du bouchon
• Vérifier l'état du joint et la propreté du filet de la chambre à
poudre et du couvercle
• Remplacer le joint si nécessaire
• Envoyer l'appareil à un centre de réparation certifié EMS
Fuite d'eau entre le nez du raccord et la pièce à main
• Contrôler l'état des joints O-rings du nez du raccord de l'ap-
pareil, les remplacer si nécessaire
• Changer de pièce à main
• Envoyer l'appareil à un centre de réparation certifié EMS
L'efficacité de l'appareil diminue
• Contrôler la quantité de poudre dans votre appareil
• Vérifier la pression de l'air sur l'unité dentaire
• Eliminer la poudre résiduelle de la pièce à main présente dans
les canaux en utilisant le EasyClean
• Envoyer l'appareil à un centre de réparation certifié EMS
En cas de chute de la pièce à main
• Vérifier l'état de la buse
• Remplacer la pièce à main
Fuite d'air entre la pièce à main et l'appareil
• Nettoyer la pièce à main
• Remplacer les joints de la connexion pièce à main
• Envoyer l'appareil à un centre de réparation certifié EMS
Fuite d'air et /ou d'eau sur le connecteur cordon
• Vérifier le connecteur du cordon, si nécessaire effectuer une
maintenance suivant les informations du fabricant.
• Envoyez l'appareil complet à un centre de réparation agréé
