Connecting the Power Supply

6.1.1

Connecting a Potential Equalization Cable

Procedure
WARNING Risk of injury due to electric shock when using an unsuita-
t
ble potential equalization cable! Use the potential equalization cable
provided. The potential equalization cable is combined with the power
supply cable.
Check whether the mains plug of the potential equalization cable
t
matches the power connections at the installation site.
If necessary: Contact Sartorius Service.

Connect the potential equalization cable to the "Potential equalization"
t
connection (1).
Connect the mains plug of the potential equalization cable to the power
1
t
supply provided at the installation site.

Connecting the Power Supply Cable

Procedure
WARNING Risk of injury due to electric shock when using an unsuit-
t
able power supply cable! Use the power supply cable provided.
Check whether the country-specific power plug matches the power con-
t
nections at the installation site.
If required: Contact Sartorius Service (for available power supply
t
cables, see Chapter "16 Accessories", page 60).
Unscrew the nut for the strain relief (2) and remove.
t
Insert the power supply cable into the cable holder.
t
Reinsert the nut for the strain relief and tighten by hand.
t
Press the grooved surface on the plug of the power supply cable and
t
connect the plug to the "power supply" connection (1).
Connect the mains plug of the power supply cable to the power supply
t
provided at the installation site.
