2.5. Ignition Sense
ACR350 has ignition sense function. It can detect the status of ignition signal and let application
software to do further action, e.g. switch to maintenance mode for data transfer / data backup. The
input of ignition pin is located at the 4-pin power connector as shown below.
The voltage level of ignition input is assumed to be same as input voltage, i.e. 9-36V. When ignition
input is within this range, a 3.3V logic High signal sends to CPU.
There is opto-coupler in ACR350 to isolate CPU from high voltage ignition signal.
Note: When the Ignition pin is not used, it must be connected to input voltage pin VIN. Otherwise
ACR350 will not power up.
