At this point, the start value of the measuring range is entered. This input acts
directly on the output signal. This does not affect the display directly.
The value range and its limits are displayed automatically.
In this works configuration, a so-called basic measuring range is defined for
each device. This basic measuring range is defined by the order code and is
stated on the type plate as 'Measuring range'.

The characteristic can be spread within the basic measuring range. The spread
is the ratio of the basic measuring range to the set measuring span and may be
