Driving your vehicle
Limitations of Remote Smart
Parking Assist
In the following circumstances, function
performance to park or exit the vehicle
may be limited, there may be a risk of
collision, or Remote Smart Parking Assist
may turn off. Park or exit the vehicle
manually if necessary.
僅 The parking space is curved or diago-
nal
僅 There is an obstacle such as a trash
can, bicycle, motorcycle, shopping
cart, narrow pillar etc. near the park-
ing space
僅 There is a circular pillar or narrow pil-
lar, or a pillar surrounded by objects
such as fire extinguisher, etc. near the
parking space
僅 There is heavy snow, rain or wind
僅 The vehicle is installed with a snow
chain, spare tire or different size
wheel
僅 Tire pressure is lower or higher than
the standard tire pressure
僅 The road is bumpy
僅 The road is slippery
僅 The parking space is near a vehicle
with higher ground clearance or big,
such as a truck, etc.
僅 Your vehicle is loaded with cargo lon-
ger or wider than your vehicle or a
trailer is connected to your vehicle
僅 The sensor is mounted or positioned
incorrectly by an impact to the
bumper
僅 The parking space is Inclined
僅 There is a problem with the wheel
alignment
僅 Your vehicle is leaned severely to one
side

Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA)
僅 Front or rear ultrasonic sensors are
not working properly or does not work
(Refer to "Forward/Reverse Parking
Distance Warning (PDW) (if
equipped)" on page 5-122.)
Remote Smart Parking Assist may not
operate normally under the following
circumstances:
僅 Parking on an inclined road
OMQ4H040022L
Park manually when parking on
inclines.
僅 Parking in snow
OMQ4H040023L
Snow may interfere with sensor oper-
ation, or Remote Smart Parking Assist
may cancel if the road is slippery
while parking.
